Having recently graduated from the University of Chicago, Matthew was hoping to gain some real-world experience in matters of the law before continuing his academic career through Ph.D./J.D. programs. While his research revolves around discovering how and why marginalized populations in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries interfaced with imperial legal systems across the Atlantic, Matthew recognizes that similar issues persist today. He hopes to continue his work—albeit with a contemporary twist—by joining our firm in its mission to uncompromisingly advocate for our clients.
Outside Interests
When he’s not in the office, Matt can typically be found combing through archival boxes and library shelves, writing papers with a glass of wine in hand, or traveling the country to present his work on his research interests.
