April 29, 2024—UPDATE: Claim Process for Kia Hyundai Vehicle Theft Settlement
The final approval hearing date of the Kia Hyundai Vehicle Theft Marketing, Sales Practices, and Products Liability Litigation has been set and is approaching.
Settlement notices have been sent out, and you may have received the notice.
If you have not, a final settlement fairness hearing will be held on July 15, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. PT. At that time, the Court presiding over the case will consider whether the settlement is fair and reasonable and decide whether to issue final approval for the settlement. Should the Court approve the settlement, you will be permitted to submit a claim until January 11, 2025, which you can also currently do by visiting the websites set forth below.
The settlement process is being handled by a claim administrator. Settlement information, documentation, claim submission forms, forms to be excluded from or object to the settlement, and important dates are provided on web pages managed by the settlement administrator.

Though our firm filed the first class-action case over the Kia Hyundai Theft epidemic in a federal court in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, many other cases were filed, and all cases were ultimately consolidated in the United States District Court for the Central District of California Case No. No. 8:22-ML-3052 JVS(KESx). We are providing this information concerning the settlement to you as a courtesy to ensure that as many interested individuals as possible receive information about the settlement. Since the cases were transferred to California, however, our firm has not been involved in, or had control over, the settlement details or administration process.
Since we first brought this case in 2021, we have received tens of thousands of contacts from affected individuals. This issue has impacted more people than we could have ever imagined. Unfortunately, it has become impossible for us to respond to every individual contact, but we want to make sure everyone is directed to the administrator helping to facilitate the settlement.
